About the client
Nicole Hung is an independent, California-licensed insurance broker based in Cupertino, serving the Bay Area with consultations in English and Chinese.
Her services fall into four groups: Medicare, individual and family health, business and employee benefits, and life insurance and retirement.
The brief
The project redesigned an existing brand site through several rounds of client feedback. The client supplied the logo, business card, four service illustrations, a WeChat QR code and a new hero photo, and chose the full-bleed photo version of the hero.
Her audience speaks both English and Chinese, so the site needed both languages in full and contact methods people already use.
What we did
- 01
Bilingual website
The English home page and a Chinese page at /zh each have their own URL, with a language switch in the header; the Chinese page's hero and navigation are fully localised.
- 02
Visual design and layout
Deep green with gold accents and serif headings convey professionalism and trust; the services section pairs four client-supplied illustrations with the four service groups.
- 03
One-tap contact
Phone, email, WeChat (QR pop-up), LINE and a contact form sit side by side; on mobile the header keeps a Call button and the language switch.
- 04
SEO foundation
Page titles and descriptions, canonical, hreflang, Open Graph, structured data (JSON-LD), sitemap and robots, plus the domain and HTTPS switch-over.
- 05
Tracking set-up
GA4 events cover form submissions and clicks on phone, email, LINE and WeChat; Google Search Console and Bing are connected.
